HARD Festival Stage Designs

Los Angeles, CA

Music Festivals / VJ Performance

V Squared Labs was given the opportunity to design stages for HARD Festival Summer and Day of the Dead this year. These designs utilize as much surface area as possible, giving concert-goers a big venue feeling in a relatively small space. Both stages use scaffolding as a base structure. The Purple Tent at HARD Summer used a standard flat front structure and the Green Stage at HARD Day of the Dead used a non-typical rotated scaffolding configuration, in order to give the design more dimension and depth. Both stages utilize projection mapping, LED and lighting in simple layouts that focus on cubic, linear elements. Clean lines, effective mapping forms and compositional balance are prominent on these stages.
